2011: a new and impossibly futuristic year. In the spirit of a new year and new beginnings, the space at 492 Congress Street will be taking time off from the sometimes stagnant life of a traditional gallery. Welcome Product: A Temporal Artist Marketplace! On First Fridays and the proceeding Saturdays the gallery will come alive with an exuberant treasure trove of artist's wares for sale. Many times the creative urges of artists and other makers manifest themselves in smaller, perhaps more playful or functional ways. These diverse offerings of those in our communities often seem relegated to holiday craft sales only. So, for the months of February, March, April, and June Whitney Art Works will be a vivacious arena for peddlers, and tinkerers, thinkers, watchers, and buyers Whether you merely wish to look or want to spend a couple of dollars or hundreds, the plethora of locally made items available should be exciting and satisfying. We think this will be the kind of feast for eyes and wallets that the overstimulated, highly intelligent, visual thinking people of this new decade will appreciate.

If you are a maker and would like to participate in Product, we are offering table rental for $120 per month, a price that, especially split several ways is quite reasonable.
